More details about the trip:
If you are one of those people who don't mind spending nine solid hours of your holiday sitting on a plastic chair among 300 to 500 other people on a boat, which might just stop for a short swim (weather permitting), then don’t read any further....

In contrast, I, a local independent qualified captain will do my best to keep the time spent on the boat to a minimum, allowing passengers to enjoy their day to the fullest, offering each one personalised and memorable experiences on my 12 meter cruiser "ELEANA" (that accommodates a maximum of 38 guests).

Upon departing from Vasilikos, “ELEANA” sails directly towards the south of Zakynthos, where the protected Marine-Park is situated. This park was established in order to preserve the famous Caretta-Caretta, the endangered loggerhead sea turtle species. The cruise continues around Kalamaki and Laganas Bay where passengers are guaranteed to see and photograph from close up the famous Caretta-Caretta turtles!
With a little luck, the next appointment on the agenda is meeting up with some Mediterranean dolphins that are joining us while sailing around. There is also the strong possibility of spotting one of the very rare “Monachus-Monachus”, the so called monk seals. Of course, during this cruise lots of opportunities to stop for a refreshing dip in the sea will always be available.
The deserted white sandy beaches and the crystal clear water will allow all to experience the many forms of sea-life, such as starfish, sea-urchins, fish and maybe octopus. Every passenger will have the chance to visit the caves of the turtle-island and the Keri blue caves and enjoy the wonders of the fabulous turquoise colours.
Passengers can relax on one of the few nesting beaches. Cruising near Pelouzo-Island will bring us over a reef with its remains of a 50 year-old wooden schooner wreck, still to be seen today on a depth of 17 meters while snorkeling. Of course around midday is time for lunch (not included) at Agios Sostis, a little fishing-port with its nice sandy beach and a handful of taverns.

The boat will be departing on a daily basis from Porto Roma Vassilikos which is situated on the south east peninsula of the island. Passengers should be on the vessel no later than 08:30 hours as we will be departing once the safety instructions and a brief description of the days events are completed.

After a day of discovery and sightseeing we will return to Porto Roma at approximately 17:00 hours.
